Q: Do you accept credit cards and can you bill my card after each service?
A: Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. At your request, we will bill your card after every visit. You can also pay your bill online.
Q: When should I aerate my lawn?
A: At least once a year you should aerate your lawn to improve root development. We recommend twice a year, once in spring and once in fall.
Q: How long does my child and/or pet have to stay off the treated area after the application is done?
A: Most of our applications need time to dry so we recommend children and/or pets stay off the treated area for 1-½ hours.
Q: What can I do about my mole problem?
A: Moles have become an increasing problem over the past several years. Insecticide applications to control worms and grubs, the mole’s food source, can help but they are short term, lasting only a few weeks. Hiring a professional pest controller works, but is expensive as most charge per mole and may need repeated visits. One simple way to minimize the damage is to regularly remove or spread out the mounds as they appear. This, if done regularly, prevents the dirt from smothering the grass which leaves those dinner platter size bare spots.
Q: What can I do about all these different types of grasses in my lawn?
A: There are products for control of Crabgrass, which we do not have much of in our area, and Poa Anna. The applications are expensive and cannot be guaranteed as so many factors such as temperature, moisture and timing can be tricky at best. Areas can be treated with Glysophate (Round Up) and re-seeded but this does not prevent new, undesirable grasses from coming in by a variety of means. Keeping your lawn fertilized properly and regularly makes thicker turf that make it harder for native grasses to get established. It also means the native grasses present less noticeable.
Q: Do I need to be home when my landscape is treated?
A: It is not necessary to be home at the time of a treatment. Any service can be done providing all treatment areas are accessible to our applicators.
Q: What needs to be done after each application?
A: After the completion of your application, detailed instructions will be left at your door with your invoice. These instructions indicate what should be done in order to maximize the benefits of the service. If your landscape requires special attention, we will leave a note.
Q: Will my lawn be weed free after the first application?
A: It may take 2 to 3 weed control applications before your lawn is weed free, as weed control is an ongoing effort.
