Mosquito Management Program
We are very excited to begin offering mosquito management applications to our clients. Our program uses safe, effective materials, applied once a month throughout the mosquito season to dramatically reduce mosquito populations in your landscape. Nothing can totally eliminate the possibility of ever being bit by a mosquito in your yard again,

but we can come awfully darn close!
There are a few things you can do yourself that can help reduce mosquito populations:
Identify anything in your landscape that holds standing water such as empty pots, planting trays, buckets, kiddie pools, bird baths, etc. Empty and change the water in them regularly (at least once a week).
If you have a large pool, keep it clean and chlorinated and if it has a cover or solar blanket, clean that regularly.
Avoid over-watering (creating puddles) which create excellent breeding sites for mosquitos.
Clean gutters and inspect your roof, outdoor faucets, and air-conditioning units for leaks regularly. If needed, repair them to prevent standing water.
There are also a few things you can do to reduce the chances of being bitten:
Be aware that peak mosquito activity hours are dawn and dusk and be prepared for them.
When possible wear clothing that fully covers your body.
Keep window and doors closed. This will keep your home cooler and prevents mosquitoes from gaining entry into your home.
Use high-quality repellents that contain DEET or picaridin as their main active ingredient. ALWAYS use caution while using and pay attention to instructions, especially with use on children.
Using box fans outside will help keep mosquitoes away because they are poor flyers and do not like "windy" areas.
