When diagnosing lawn and landscape issues, pictures aren’t perfect—but they’re powerful. While they can’t always provide the full story, the right photos help us quickly narrow down potential problems and arrive on-site ready to take action.

A sharp, close-up photo of a damaged leaf, tree, shrub, or patch of grass can often reveal signs of disease or insect activity. A wider, panoramic shot shows us how widespread the issue is, helping us rule out or confirm potential causes.

Even better, many pests and diseases are specific to certain plant types. Including a photo that clearly shows what kind of plant is affected speeds up our diagnosis and gets us closer to a solution.

In some cases, your pictures alone might even be enough to identify the issue.

That’s why we encourage you to send us photos if you notice something wrong in your yard. A visit is often still necessary, but your pictures help us come prepared—saving you time and getting your lawn back on track faster.

Here’s what to send:

• A clear close-up of the affected plant or turf

• A wider shot showing the overall area

• A photo that includes the whole plant (tree, shrub, or turf zone) to help us identify it

  
  

Pro tip: More is better. When in doubt, send extra pictures—we’d rather sort through too many than not have enough to go on.
